Your 2 pages are due tomorrow! They must be printed in MLA format! Please remember my rules on printing...
Keep looking for a mentor!
Do you all want to go to the library for a bit during class tomorrow? Or would going to the computer lab be more beneficial?
Let me know!

computer lab...definitely!
ReplyDeleteMrs. Moon,
ReplyDeleteI haven’t found a mentor yet but have left voicemails for a couple people. I remember someone asking you about a mentor that is out of county, and I know the number to the VA in Fayetteville, what should I do about that with the forms and all? (If I can get a mentor from there)
when documenting your sources in your paper what do i do if two of my source cards have the same title(sports injuries) and neither have an author? Do i just put them both as ("sports injuries")?
ReplyDeleteif we have a large title of the article and no author, how should we document it? should I just put the whole thing or abbreviate?
ReplyDeleteOkay, scratch what i just said. i found a mentor, but he couldnt make an apointment until friday at 4 to sign my papers. what do i need to do now?
ReplyDeleteDefinitely go to the computer to continue to type more of the paper. Also i am still a little confused on the citing.
ReplyDeleteWell I still need a book source, and seeing the 4 pages isnt due until monday, the library would be much more benificial for me.
ReplyDeleteQuick question for anyone who may know the answer... Can we divide an A2 from our outline into more then on paragraph? or does each subtopic to the A and B need to be one paragraph only?
OK--I will try to answer all of your questions...
ReplyDeleteMiranda--meet him on Friday at 4:00--have him fill out all paperwork and sign your mentor log. Because your meeting is Friday (and technically the forms are due on Friday), have him time stamp the commitment form so I know that you met on Friday. Give me everything on Monday.
Christian--You need to designate the first one you found as "Sports Injuries-1" and the second one you found as "Sports Injuries-2" every time from now on. So, in your paper and on your Works Cited they will look like that! Make sense?
Robert--the first time you cite a source, write the whole title. Every time after that, use the first few words.
Allison--you can divide your A2 into two paragraphs. It's totally up to you. If you are finding long paragraphs, go ahead and split them up.
Whew! Keep those questions coming!
So far it's one vote for library and one vote for lab...
if a complete section came form one source can i just put the documentaion at the very end?

ReplyDeleteJessie--for now, that's ok. But eventually you'll have to add analysis and that won't be documented, so you'll have to document before the analysis.
ReplyDeleteHow do I cite the article if the author is just Una M.
ReplyDeleteLibrary would be better since we have a whole weekend to type up the third and fourth pages.

ReplyDeleteI vote the Library for books to search and there are also computers in there.
ReplyDeleteHow are you grading our 2 pages? Is it fine if I write my A information and 1 and 2, but leave out my 3 until I can find some more information and just go onto writing my B information?
ReplyDeleteI am mainly grading that you have the 2 pages. I will be editing for all kinds of things--citations, grammar, flow, etc. So, yes, as long as you have 2 pages I don't care what they are. As for Una, I don't know. I'll have to look it up tomorrow! That's odd!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to check the blog once more before 10:00, then I'm signing off for the night. If you have any questions, ask before 10:00 or else help each other out!!
ReplyDeleteDoes anybody know how to cite a pdf?
